Sonata Soft Q4 net profit rises 65%

Kolkata May 4 For the year ended March, 2007, Sonata Software's consolidated revenues increased by 76 per cent to about Rs 895 crore (Rs 507.03 crore) while consolidated PAT increased by 74 per cent to about Rs 48 crore (Rs 27.54 crore). Its cash reserves stood at about Rs 131 crore.

The company's board has recommended a final dividend of 60 per cent bringing the total dividend for the year to 110 per cent.

For the Q4 ended March, consolidated revenues increased by 95 per cent to about Rs 352 crore (Rs 180.34 crore) while consolidated net profit increased by 65 per cent to Rs 12.82 crore (Rs 7.78 crore).

The company added eight new clients during the quarter and its total number of employees as on March 31, was 2,242.

Earnings per share (face value: Re 1) for the year stood at Rs 4.57 (Rs 2.62). FY07 return on capital employed was 25.59 per cent (18.19 per cent) while return on net worth was 28.34 per cent (18.06 per cent). As March 31, the company's cash reserves stood at Rs 131.27 crore.
