Ahmedabad May 9 The Mumbai-based Metropolis Health Services (India) Ltd, leading corporate chain of diagnostic centres, has entered into a joint venture with Sanket Diagnostics Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad, to form Sanket Metropolis to provide a gamut of healthcare services.
One-stop shop
Announcing the tie-up, the Metropolis Founder-Chairman, Dr Sushil Shah, and the Sanket Managing Director, Dr Ketan Patel, told a news conference that the endeavour was aimed at providing a one-stop shop to medical and healthcare needs. The facility would provide home-end services as well. Ahmedabad is the fourth place in India after Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi where a tertiary care facility is being provided with capacity to conduct as many as 3,600 investigations on patients. The company, which seeks to double its revenue of Rs 100 crore in the current financial year and Rs 500 crore by 2010, has a chain of 46 laboratories with 20,000 doctors and 1,000 employees across India, is going to add 10 new centres in Chandigarh, Lucknow and other places. It is also planning to set up 15-20 more pathological labs abroad apart from the eight it now has in Sri Lanka, Sharjah and the UAE. The new facilities will be in South Africa, Thailand, the US, Sri Lanka and the UAE.
