Lachlan Murdoch enters India thru Percept Talent

Mumbai May 10 Percept Holdings and Mr Lachlan Murdoch's Illyria Pty Ltd (Australia) have launched a 50:50 joint venture company — Percept Talent Management (PTM). The company will represent exceptional creative and technical talent in the fields of motion pictures, television, fashion, music, sports and branded entertainment.

Expecting to register a turnover of Rs 300 crore within the first two years, PTM will be a 360-degree model covering all aspects of exposure possible for a talent. It will acquire talent across all genres and provide value offerings in key management areas such as legal, financial, tax, wealth, health, diet, image and social responsibility needs, while also looking after their professional contracts, digital domain, publishing, merchandising, media tie-ups, BTL events, PR and grooming, relationship management and endorsements.

According to Mr Lachlan Murdoch, "The media industry here and around the world is driven by its creative talent. After more than a decade of involvement in the Indian media business, I am very pleased that my company - Illyria's first Indian investment leverages the great depth of talent resident here through this partnership with Percept Holdings. I have great faith that Percept Talent Management will effectively serve its clients and grow into a significant force in the Indian media landscape."

Mr Shailendra Singh, Joint MD, Percept Holdings, said "PTM will adopt an aggressive, forward-looking strategy towards continued growth to manage all needs for the talent in the media and entertainment space, covering all aspects of exposure possible for the talent.
