Aptech joins hands with CompTIA

Aptech Ltd has announced its foray into hardware and networking training by launching new certified programmes — N Power in Bangalore. It has tied up with CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) to offer CompTIA certification for these courses.

Mr R. Krishnan, Executive Director, Aptech, said the N-Power course encapsulates the in-demand skills in the industry and the programme has been designed in collaboration with CompTIA to cover all areas of hardware and networking platform namely, the hardware basics, networking skills, server management and security aspect of IT infrastructure. Fee for the one-year course is around Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 and the company is offering some discounts initially, he said.

Aptech expects to launch the new courses in some 20 centres across major cities in the next three to five weeks. The company is investing Rs 6 crore in setting up the hardware and infrastructure required to offer these courses. "We expect some 7,000 students to enrol for these courses by end-2007," he said.
