Announcements Marketing - New Products & Services Optra's diesel variant soon Our Bureau
The new Optra with a TCDi (turbocharged common rail direct injection) engine uses second-generation common rail technology, in which diesel fuel is injected at a high pressure resulting in efficient combustion and performance, said a company statement here. GM India launched Aveo sedan, SRV and Aveo U-VA hatchback in 2006. This year, it launched its mini car, Chevrolet Spark. Optra Diesal would compete with Skoda Octavia, which is being sold in a range of Rs 11.35 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
