BUT LOWER OUTPUT: With the tea season on, plucking has started in Dooars region in northern part of West Bengal. The first flush is over and it is now time for the second flush. Despite drop in production in the first quarter, the tea industry is hopeful of a better crop during the remaining part of the year. Lower production has not resulted in any sharp rise in the prices at the auctions.
