Aravindan

Kottayam, May 28

The cocoa market is yet to pick up as the price is still ruling between Rs 20-23 a kg for wet beans, according to sources close to Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Ltd (Campco). The peak production season begins in June and continues till September. The price of dry beans is Rs 75-78 a kg at present. The market will improve once the season sets in. Last year, Campco procured around 50 quintals for the use of its own factory.
