Commodity Exchanges NCDEX to meet jeera body members today in Unjha Our Bureau
Mumbai May 28 The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) has scheduled a meeting with its Jeera Product Committee along with representatives of NCMSL (National Collateral Management Services Ltd) on May 29. The meeting is being held to discuss issues relating to delivery and quality of jeera. The meeting will take place at Unjha. The exchange has attributed the sharp decline in the market wide-open interest of jeera to increased margins and reduced position limits. The volumes in the commodity has decreased from 40,000 tonnes to 30,954 tonnes. Reduced participation from the arbitrageurs also has resulted in reduction in their business, both in physical as well as futures, a release from the exchange said.
