Penna Cements on expansion mode

Visakhapatnam May 28 Penna Cements is expanding its capacity to 6 mt per annum by setting up a new 2 mt plant at Boyireddipalli in Anantapur district, according to Mr M. Ravinder Reddy, Vice-President (marketing).

At a press meet here, he said the company had a plant at Tadipatri in Anantapur district with capacity of 1.80 mt per annum and another one at Ganeshpahad village in Nalgonda district with 1.2 mt per annum.

Besides, it had set up a plant in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, as a joint venture with a capacity of a million tonnes per annum.

"It adds up to four million TPA altogether. After the commissioning of the new plant, it will rise to six million TPA," he said.

Plants of the company were ideally located to cater to the major markets of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, Maharashtra, Goa and Puducherry, he said.
