Venture Capital GVFL divests stake in Anupam, Icenet Our Bureau
Ahmedabad June 4 GVFL Ltd on Monday announced the divestment of its holding from Anupam GlobalSoft Ltd, and Icenet.Net Ltd, a local Internet service provider. Based at Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, Anupam GlobalSoft (formerly, Anupam Infosys Ltd), has been engaged in B2B exchange portal, including online product catalogue management and automation of business processes related to sales, distribution and procurement to SMEs in engineering industry. GVFL had invested in it from its Gujarat IT Fund in the year 2000. Announcing the exit, the GVFL CEO, Mr Vishnu Varshney, and the Anupam promoter, Mr Nimit Patel, said the two were able to create business strategy focusing on e-business software development and providing business solutions to engineering companies. About its recent divestment from the Ahmedabad-based Icenet after six years of investment, GVFL said this company provided various services like dial-up, Internet-on-cable, lease line, Internet telephony, enterprise business solutions, VOIP solutions, among others. It had reach in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.
