Ayurveda portal launched

Kochi June 08 Aymex, a travel and medical tourism company, has launched Ayurveda-Portal.com, a one-stop shop for tourists in search of ayurvedic medicinal treatments.

Mr Joseph Kaduthanam, Managing Director, Aymex Services Pvt Ltd, said that the portal has been developed to create a global imprint in medical tourism. Customers can search for a resort or hospital, compare various service providers and make instant reservation etc. on the portal.

The portal aims to bring ayurveda doctors, hospitals, resorts, hotel, houseboat operators, home stay providers in a global platform. In addition, herbal suppliers, pharmaceuticals, ayurveda online shops, therapists, cosmetic shops, beauticians and yoga centres also play their part in the portal, he said.

Medical tourism

Aymex founded in 1980 is a limited company registered in Germany and London. It has played a pivotal role in bringing ayurveda medical tourism to Kerala.

The company expects that the portal could create job opportunities in the medical tourism industry in the State, as this would augment the inflow of tourists, he added.

The company has also plans to start a research and development centre and a training college with an investment of Rs 50 crore to train allopathic doctors from abroad and India into ayurvedic systems, he said.

The portal is now in beta and is available only for service providers.
