Bangalore June 16 The ETAS Group, which provides solutions for the electronic control units to the auto sector, has set up a base in India. The ETAS Automotive India Managing Director, Dr Wolfgang Sienel, told newspersons that by 2010, the company has targeted revenues of € 10 million from its Indian operations. He said the electronic control unit business in India is worth about $4.5 billion and is growing at 22 per cent. " The trigger point will be the auto parts makers who are looking at tapping the export market," he said. He said customers using ETAS solutions will benefit from shorter development timelines, increased software quality and refined vehicle diagnostics. Initially, the company's main growth will be the test & validation division, the measurement division and the measurement & calibration division. It also expects opportunities in software engineering and diagnostic services in the next couple of years.
