Pune, June 16

Dhariwal Electricals has signed an exclusive arrangement with DuPont for the supply of Zytel polyamide that will be used to manufacture the Latina range of shockproof switches. Aimed at the middle and low-income housing segment, the unbreakable switches have a rocker mechanism that keeps the live part away from the knob, and makes it resistant to electric shock, Mr Kumar Shah, production head, said. The 45 products launched, including three kinds of switches, will be marketed in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and the southern markets. The company has a range of polycarbonate switches brand named Zen for the higher income, housing segment. The entire range is manufactured at the Shirur plant which has a capacity of one-lakh pieces per day.
