Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 19

Europe and the US are reeling under a large-scale online attack. Websense Security Labs has detected almost 10,000 sites that have been infected by malicious codes. This attack has affected wide number of users and the most affected regions are Italy, Spain and the US. Users who connect to any one of these 10,000 compromised sites are vulnerable to one of several loaded exploits. The Trojan horse installed by the affected sites onto the user's PC allows hackers to get into their machines and carry out actions such as capturing screenshots, stealing personal data, and so on, according to a release issued by the security firm on Tuesday.
