Our Bureau

Bangalore June 21 UBC Careers Aviation, a newly formed aviation related company, has announced it will hold a job fair in Bangalore on June 23 and 24 for those seeking a career in the airlines industry. The company offers charter services, aircraft sale and leasing, and aircraft management for corporates. With 100 aircraft expected to be inducted this year alone by leading airlines, the industry will need fresh personnel for both ground duties and as cabin crew.

The two-day fair will showcase the job opportunities available in the industry.

It is expected to attract 10,000 applicants for various posts offered by seven participating airlines, which include Jet Airways, Indigo, MDLR (a Delhi-based regional service), Go Air, Spice, Air Deccan and Qatar, a leading Gulf airlines.

Capt Krishna Prashanth, CEO and Director of Careers Aviation, said the job fair could also attract some trained pilots who have lost out to overseas competition.
