Hyderabad June 23 Eureka Forbes, which has registered a turnover of Rs 850 crore last year, has targeted to cross the Rs 1,000-crore mark this financial year.

Mr S.K. Palekar, Senior Vice-President (Marketing), who was here in connection with the launch of a new water purifier, said the company had a market share of 70 per cent in the Rs 700-crore domestic water purification systems market in the country.

The company, which sold products in countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia, has forged a 50:50 joint venture with Lux of Switzerland to take care of the international markets.

The new system, which is priced at Rs 9,590 apiece, could filter 6,000 litres sufficient for an average family for a year. The existing Eureka users too could switch over to the new technology by replacing the cartridge with the new one.
