Dr T. Harinarayana, Scientist at the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), here has been elected as a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS), Moscow. The academy has 23 Nobel Prize winners as its members. Dr Harinarayana is currently handling projects related to hydrocarbon and geothermal exploration, earthquake and tsunami, according to an NGRI press release.
