Cocoa prices ruling steady

Our Bureau

Kottayam, July 1 The price of cocoa is reported to be ruling steady without any change. This year the crop is also less as against last year and therefore arrivals continued to be only moderate. The price has slightly picked up to Rs 22-24 a kg. The present trend will continue for another month, according to Campco sources at Perumbavoor.

Due to low prices, farmers had destroyed cocoa in many areas and switched over to rubber to get more income.
