Commodity Markets Industry & Economy - Education Commodity courses at Kunvarji Academy
Our Bureau Ahmedabad, July 2 The Ahmedabad-based Kunvarji Group, one of the fastest growing Commodity Future and Capital Markets Intermediary, has ventured into Financial Services Training and Education, with the inauguration of the Kunvarji Academy For Learning & Excellence (KALEx) at Law Garden in Ahmedabad. Mooted under the aegis of Kunvarji Investment Solutions & Services Pvt Ltd (KISSPL), the academy will address the training needs of the financial services market, especially the fast-changing Futures Market. KISSPL has signed a pact with MCX for offering commodities-related training programmes in Ahmedabad. The first program in the series is “MCX Certified Commodity Professional” (MCCP), comprising 25 hours of learning followed by an online test conducted by MCX. Kunvarji Academy will launch all the MCX programs in Ahmedabad in a phased manner. The candidates passing out would be eligible for appointment as dealers for MCX Trader Work Stations (TWS). MCX has mandated at least one MCCP certified professional for each of its member brokers. The MCCP course is designed to enable participants become well versed with the modalities of the commodity markets, such as scope, regulatory framework, trading, clearing and settlement delivery procedures, legal and investment issues among others. The course is ideal for commodity stock market brokers, investors, analysts, students, treasury executives, bankers, farmers, hedgers, arbitrageurs, etc. The training module has been designed in English and Gujarati. Following the launch of MCCP, Kunvarji Academy aims at launching MCX Commodity Specific Programs (CSP) to provide an understanding of fundamental and technical factors that affect price behaviour of commodity derivatives, like bullion, crude, non ferrous metals, and agricultural commodities. Kunvarji Academy can boast of a most modern, 25-seat classroom augmented by simulation room for Terminal Training and online testing. The facilities also include conference and counselling.
