Fixed Deposits Industry & Economy - NRIs
Mumbai, July 7 HDFC Bank has hiked its NRE deposit rates, effective July 1. Deposits of three to five years’ maturity will now earn an interest rate of 5.45 per cent (5.29 per cent), said a press release by the bank. Deposits of two to less than three years’ maturity will earn 5.43 per cent against 5.31 per cent earlier. Banks like ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, and Union Bank of India, among others, have also increased their interest rates on NRE deposits. — Our Bureau
