Kesineni online reservation

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, July 8

Kesineni Tours & Travels has transited into the online bus reservation, for its large fleet of buses crisscrossing Andhra Pradesh and reaching major cities across South and Western India.

The Chief Operating Officer of Ashok Leyland, Mr Vinod K. Dasari, launched the Online Ticketing System at 7 hours, 7 minutes, 7 seconds on July 7, 2007, considered the most auspicious time.

The Hyderabad-based, Kesineni Travels, part of the Kesineni Group, started in 1928 in Vijayawada said it is the first company in South India to go online 100 per cent at the launch function.

While some bus operators keep a quota of seats on the Internet booking, Kesineni’s OTS ensures that all the seats are kept open for booking on the Net. The system is the main foundation for the future expansion plans of the company, company officials said.

Started in 1992, Kesineni Travels is the largest private bus operator from Andhra Pradesh reaching 75 destinations with about 425 schedules daily. It has a fleet of 116 buses and employs over 1,000 people. The Group also has a cargo carrier.
