Air Deccan gets Airbus A-320

Madurai, July 8 Air Deccan is replacing its 72-seater ATR 72 with a 180-seater new Airbus A-320 on its Chennai-Madurai and Chennai-Coimbatore sectors effective from July 10.

An additional ATR72 flight from Chennai to Thiruvanathapuram in the evening is also introduced for the convenience of business travellers, seeking day return flights.

The low-cost airline, witnessing a growth in demand for additional seats, has gone in for increasing the seat capacity, said the Air Deccan CEO, Mr Ramki Sundaram.
