Steel melt shop works launched

Visakhapatnam, July 13

Mr P.K Bishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of the Visakhapatnam steel plant, inaugurated structural erection works in the billet storage yard of the steel melt shop (No. 2) on Friday as a part of the expansion project. Sunil Hi-tech Engineers Ltd, Nagpur, have been awarded this job which involves 34,000 tonnes (approximately) of structural fabrication and erection. It is expected to be finished in 20 months, according to the press release. Mr Bishnoi advised the employ ees to complete the work ahead of schedule, maintaining the quality standards. Mr H.S. Chhatwal, Director (Commercial), also spoke.
