Info Edge launches career portal

Our Bureau

Bangalore, July 16 Info Edge (India) Ltd has launched asknaukri.com, a Web site that offers career guidance and counselling advice for work-life issues. Panelists from Workeasy Solutions, a career planning and development firm, will respond to queries on the free-to-use Web site. Mr Sanjeev Bikchandani, Founder and CEO, Naukri.com, said a career guidance Web site was a natural extension to Naukri.com, a recruitment portal, also owned by Info Edge Ltd.

asknaurki.com allows users submit their queries online which are then directed to the panelists. The answers will be posted on the site within 48 hours and an email sent to the user’s inbox.

The queries will be classified as into relevant categories such as ‘career guidance,’ ‘interviews and resumes,’ and ‘office advice.’ Soon asknaukri.com will also get mobile-enabled and users can send in their questions and get responses on their mobile phones.

Career guidance and work life issues is a huge unorganised industry and asknaurki.com is an initiative to create exponential value in the career guidance business in the long run,” according to Ms Apoorva Kumar, Vice-President and National Head, Mobility, Ad Sales and Investments.

Apart from Naukri.com, Info Edge India also owns Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com and NaukriGulf.com.
