Our Bureau Mumbai, July 18 Tata Consultancy Services expects revenues from its global consultancy practice to grow to $600-$650 million (Rs 2,400-Rs 2,600 crore) by 2010. “As on June this year, the consulting arm contributed about 3 per cent of TCS’ global revenues, about Rs 156 crore. By the end of the current fiscal, the global consultancy practice (GCP) will contribute between $175 and $200 million (Rs 700 crore-Rs 800 crore),” said Mr N. Chandrasekaran, Executive Vice-President and Head of Global Sales, TCS. Client Base
Consulting focuses on advising businesses on how best to use technology to meet their objectives. In addition to providing advice, IT consultancies often implement, deploy, and administer IT systems for businesses. TCS will initially focus on targeting its existing client base for this service.
