BoB plans to open four new branches

Kolkata, July 19 Bank of Baroda plans to open four new branches in the eastern region as part of centenary year celebrations. Three of these will be located in West Bengal. The fourth will be in Assam. The bank, which plans to offer a special deposit scheme (the tenure is 24 months) as well, has a network of 140 branches in the region, said Mr G. Nagamal Reddy, General Manager. BoB, which clocked a business of about Rs 8,300 crore in the east in March 2007, aims to penetrate new customer segments.
