Force10 Networks launches LAN switch

Our Bureau

Bangalore, July 20 Force10 Networks, recent entrant into Indian market, has introduced C300 LAN switch for small and medium enterprises.

The switch was made entirely at the firm’s Chennai development centre and it marks a milestone for the firm.

The C300 has a switching capacity of 1.5 terabits per second of 96 Gigabuts per second per slot, allowing enterprises to expand their networks to support new applications without the cost of a system upgrade. It features HP OpenView ready plugins with XML which makes integrating into existing data centre environments easier.

Security Appliances

Force10 has been in India for the past four months with sales offices in Mumbai and Delhi. It continues to expand its research and development facility in Chennai to support its growing product line, including the C300, Terascale E Seriers, S Series of access switches and P Series family of security appliances.
