Hyderabad, July 29

Performance improvement solutions provider Adayana Inc has launched workforce development programme to cater to the training requirements of various industries.

Minneapolis-headquartered company tied up with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) to offer a pilot workforce development programme for technicians, Mr Rajiv Tandon, Chief Executive Officer, Adayana, told newspersons here on Thursday.

Over 2,000 industry-sponsored automobile technicians would be trained between September 5 and January 10, 2008. “We are also planning to extend our offering in food and agriculture, healthcare, construction and retail,” he said.

Efforts were also on to tie up with some universities in India to offer a basic programme to upgrade employability of the students, Mr Tandon said, adding: “We have already spoken to five universities in India, including Allahabad University.”
