Our Bureau

Hyderabad, July 31 Megasoft Ltd recorded revenues of Rs 60.11 crore and profit of Rs 9.45 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, as against revenues of Rs 37.72 crore and a profit of Rs 8.07 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

For the last fiscal ended December 31, 2006 Megasoft registered revenues of Rs 178.33 crore with profit of Rs 32.64 crore.

The CEO, Mr G.V. Kumar, in a statement said that the focus was on organic growth alongside the already announced plans for inorganic growth in the telecom space.

The company has taken concrete steps by proposing the acquisition of Boston Communication Group Inc, a Nasdaq-listed company for $66 million.

“While the margins have come under pressure due to appreciating rupee, we are confident of meeting our guidelines for the year 2007, on accelerating telecom product revenues on the back of strong deal pipeline,” he said.
