Alliances & Joint Ventures Marketing - Channels and Franchises Triveni signs pact with Chinese firm
Our Bureau New Delhi, Aug. 18 Triveni Engineering and Industries, which manufactures sugar and engineered-to-order mechanical equipment, has said it has signed an agreement with Beijing Beizhong Stem Turbine Generator (BZD) for distributing and marketing its products. As per the agreement, Triveni would be distributing and marketing BZD products by offering power solutions of up to 330 MW which would consist of steam turbines and cooling systems along with electrical and power evacuation systems, the company said in a release. Besides marketing, Triveni would also provide after-sales support. BZD is a subsidiary of the state-owned Beijing Jingcheng Mechanical and Electrical Holding Co. “The agreement supplements Triveni’s product range to encompass the entire industrial turbine market up to 60 MW, while also enabling Triveni to enter into the medium-sized utility power generating equipment market up to 330 MW,” the Triveni Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Dhruv Sawhney, said. The Shanghai-based investment banking firm E J McKay and Co advised Triveni on the transaction, the release added.
