Catering college in Munnar ready

Kochi, Aug. 20

Kochi-based Royal Group has entered into the hospitality education sector by setting up a catering college of international standards in Munnar. Set up in 100 acres of land at Sooryanelli, the Munnar Catering College has the exact replica of a 5-star hotel facility. The objective of the institution is not only to provide world class curriculum to students in the country but also to attract students from abroad. The group has invested around Rs 17 crore for the project, whi ch is co-educational, international and residential, Mr Tissan J. Thachankary, Chairman, Royal Group, said. He said the College has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education and the Directorate of Technical Education for conducting the three-year diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. —
