Hyderabad, Aug. 20

Andhra Pradesh will have three more campuses of National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (Nalsar) soon. A decision to this effect was taken at meeting the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, had with the Nalsar officials. Mr R. Chenga Reddy, Minister for Law and Technical Education; Mr D. Srinivas, Minister for Higher Education; Mr K. Rosaiah, Minister for Finance; and Prof K.C. Reddy, Chairman, AP State Council for Higher Education, also participated.

The State Government would provide 50 acres of land to each of the campuses at Kadapa, Nizamabad and Visakhapatnam besides Rs 10 crore as a corpus fund. In addition, Rs 60 crore would be given to each of the campuses for the first five years. While the Kadapa campus was expected to be ready by July 2008, Nalsar campus at Visakhapatnam would be ready by July 2009. - Our Bureau
