New Products & Services Coca-Cola launches ‘Floats’
Bangalore, Aug. 22 Coca-Cola has announced the launch of ‘Floats’ — soft drink with ice cream topping — in association with Baskin Robbins in Bangalore. Priced at Rs 71 for 400 ml, Floats comes in four flavours – Coke Libre (Cola with rum punch ice cream), Fanta Rhapsody (Fanta with papaya pineapple ice cream), Sprite Alright (Sprite with mint chocolate chip ice cream) and Maid in India (Minute Maid with orange tango). Mr Deepak Kaul, Vice-President (South), Hin dustan Coca-Cola Beverages, said based on consumer response Coca-Cola will roll it out nationally. More products are in the pipeline. Globally, ‘ice cream sodas’ are said to be very popular. They form about 7 per cent of the sales of ice cream companies worldwide, said Mr Pankaj Chaturvedi, Executive Director, Baskin Robbins. Baskin Robbins currently has 240 outlets across 46 cities. It aims to cross 300 outlets by this financial year. “We are targeting 100 outlets per year,” said Mr Chaturvedi. — Our Bureau
