Spices Board for global fairs

Coonoor, Aug. 23

The Union Commerce Ministry has given in principle clearance for the Spices Board to participate in 13 international fairs in this fiscal. Accordingly, the Board will participate this week in the Food and Hotel Malaysia 2007 fair to be held in Kuala Lumpur followed by the SIAL in Argentina during August 28-30. This is in addition to the Gourmet International Food Show to be held in Tunis. In September, it will participate in Polagra Food in Poznan Poland and Thessaloniki I nternational Trade Fair in Greece. In October, the Board will take part in Anuga World Food Mart in Cologne, Germany. This will be followed by Food Ingredients Europe 2007 in London during October 30-November 1. SAITEX 2007 in Johannesburg is another fair. The Board has invited exporters desirous of participating in these fairs to contact the Deputy Director (Publicity) on spicesboard@vsnl.com. —
