Kolkata, Aug. 25

Tata Steel has lined up a host of events for the citizens of Jamshedpur to commemorate 100 years of its existence. Mr B. Muthuraman, Managing Director, will cut a cake at the Tata Steel Archives at 12.30 p.m. This will be followed by the inauguration of the redesigned Founder’s Gallery at the Tata Steel Archives. Mr Muthuraman will then launch Tata Steel’s Centenary Micro-site, www.tatasteel100.com. According to a comm uniqué issued by the company, Air Deccan will mark the centenary year of Tata Steel with the launch of commercial flights connecting Jamshedpur and Kolkata. A book by Mr R.M. Lala titled Romance of Tata Steel will be released in the evening. —
