Tuticorin-based Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has opened its 190th branch with safe locker facility at Krishnagiri. Speaking on the occasion, Mr G. Narayana Moorthy, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, said the bank’s pan-Indian presence will increase to 200 by November 2007. The bank is giving full thrust to financial inclusion project. As on date, the bank has opened 58,500 no-frill accounts, he mentioned. The bank has many tailor-made retail products both in deposits and advances to suit all the customers’ needs and further, will introduce Internet banking and share trading platform, he added. —
