Bond prices down 14 paise

Mumbai, Aug. 29

The bond yields rose by two basis points on Wednesday on worries of a possible cash crunch in the banking system. The prices fell by 14 paise. The total traded volumes on the order matching system were Rs 1,290 crore (Rs 1,935 crore). The 7.49 per cent 10-year-2017 paper opened at Rs 97 (7.94 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 96.91 (7.95 per cent YTM), against the previous close of Rs 97.05 (7.93 per cent YTM). The 7.99 per cent 10-year-2017 paper opened at Rs 100.40 (7.93 pe r cent YTM) and closed at Rs 100.36 (7.93 per cent YTM), against the previous close of Rs 100.40 (7.93 per cent YTM). —
