Abbott to consider buyback

Mumbai, Aug. 29

Pharmaceutical company Abbott India Ltd’s board will meet on September 5 to consider a proposal for buyback of a portion of fully paid equity shares of the company at a price to be determined by the board, not exceeding Rs 650 per equity share, the company told the Bombay Stock Exchange. Abbott shares closed at Rs 571.30, up 8.56 per cent, on the BSE.
