Events States - Tamil Nadu Connect2007 meet in Chennai
Our Bureau Chennai, Sept. 2 Building an ‘inclusive ecosystem’ consisting of industry, academia and the Government will be the focus of Connect2007. The seventh edition of information, communication and technology event will begin on September 15 with a two-day conference and a three-day exhibition (15-17). Mr S. Mahalingam, Chairman, Connect2007 and Chief Financial Officer, Tata Consultancy Services, told newspersons that Chennai was the ideal location to have an ‘inclusive ecosystem.’ The city has a strong presence in software services and also a wide range of industries, including automobile and telecom, and a large number of colleges, he said. Mr A. Gururaj, Director, Flextronics Technologies, said for original equipment manufacturers, Chennai provided a complete solution such as design, manufacturing, logistics and reverse logistics. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, will inaugurate the conference on September 17. The speakers invited include Mr S. Ramadorai, CEO, TCS; Mr B. Rama Raju, Managing Director, Satyam Computer; Mr Kiran Karnik, President, Nasscom; and Mr Lakshmi Narayanan, Vice-Chairman, CTS.
