Hyderabad, Sept. 6 Heritage Foods India Ltd has commenced procurement, processing, packaging, distribution and marketing operations in Maharashtra by purchasing the assets of Vikram Dairy.

The acquisition gives Heritage a dairy plant with a processing and packaging capacity of 50,000 litres a day and one chilling plant having capacity of 12,000 litres a day. In a communication to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Heritage Foods said it would also have seven bulk coolers having a total capacity of 23,000 litres a day following the purchase. The company’s stock closed at Rs 266.20 on the BSE on Thursday.
