Advertising Logistics - Railways ADAG’s BigStreet buys ad rights for Delhi Metro R. Ravikumar Chennai, Sept. 17 BigStreet. It’s another media division from the Reliance ADAG stable. After Adlabs (film production unit), Big FM (a radio initiative), Big Adda (entertainment portal), Big Music and Home Entertainment (music and movie distribution arm) and BigFlicks (a movie rental division), Reliance ADAG forays into out-of-home (OOH) advertising segment through the new division BigStreet. According to Mr Jayyant Bhokare, Vice-President, Business Development, Big FM, with aim of offering its clients a better marketing approach, BigStreet has acquired the advertising rights for all Delhi Metro Rail Stations. “We will create more advertising opportunities inside these stations over a period.” The division, with plans to expand its horizon into at least 25 towns across the country in the immediate future, is keen on aggregating inventories in the first place. “We may buy out OOH adspaces from existing players or acquire billboards on long-term lease from them to build our inventories in our target markets,” said Mr Bhokare. There are not many organised players in this segment, and presence of players such as Reliance would only bring more professionalism and transparency into the industry, he added. BigStreet also landed Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance account for Delhi Metro Rail Station. Following the win, it hopes that more clients will come on board.
