Brands S.P. Apparels to relaunch Natalia brand
Mr P. Sundararajan Our Bureau Hyderabad, Sept. 17 Expanding the scope of its retail business, S.P. Apparels Ltd will relaunch Natalia women’s wear early next year. The Coimbatore-based company will also launch a kids’ brand around the same time. “We are in the process of finalising our plans for the kids’ brand too,” Mr P. Sundararajan, Managing Director of S.P. Apparels, said. Early this year, the company acquired the Chennai-based women’s brand Natalia that was focusing on traditional wear. “We will make it a Western outfit brand, beginning early next year. To begin with, we will open six outlets in metros to sell Natalia apparel,” he told Business Line. The company was in the process of finalisation of designs and ranges. “Ahead of the launch, we will organise a fashion show to introduce the brand,” he said. Mr Sundararajan was here in connection with the launch of its second Crocodile store in the city. The company, which exported apparel products worth Rs 268 crore during 2006-07, was looking at a turnover of Rs 300 crore this year, including 10-15 per cent from domestic sales. Retail spaceOn the other hand, the company has chalked out aggressive plans for increasing retail sales. “From 40,000 sq ft, we are planning to grow to 1,00,000 sq ft by March 2009.
