Public Sector Banks SBH on deposit drive Visakhapatnam, Sept. 18 State Bank of Hyderabad, celebrating "Deposit utsav" during September, has so far mopped up Rs 1,250 crores against the target of Rs 3,500 crores, according to Mr V. Narendra Babu, the Deputy General Manager. At a press meet here on Tuesday, he said the bank had set itself a target of opening three 3 lakh new accounts and mobilising Rs 3,500 crore in fresh deposits during the current month. "Till now, two lakh new accounts have been opened and Rs 1,250 crore collected in new deposits. He expressed the confidence that both the bank and the zone would be able to meet the targets by the month-end. He said the bank had introduced two new products to attract customers - Current Account Plus and Recurring Deposit Plus.He said All the 968 branches were under the core-banking solutions, he added. Referring to the performance of the Visakhapatnam zone, of the branch, Mr Narendra Babu said it the zone had a business of Rs 5,000 crore (Rs 3,350 crore being deposits and the rest advances), with 112 branches in eight coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh, AP, and 12 more branches would be added in the zone. - Our Bureau More Stories on : Public Sector Banks
