Diversification States - Kerala Sudhir Gopi plans foray into realty Our Bureau Kochi, Sept 18 Sudhir Gopi Holdings (SGH), offering services in the field of higher education, is foraying into the real estate development segment with significant investment plans across South India and West Asia.Sudhir Gopi Developers Private Ltd (SGDPL), the real estate arm of SGH, announced the launch of its debut project ‘Vaikundam Retreat’, a 11-storied fully air-conditioned apartment at Guruvayur. Mr Sudhir Gopi, Chairman and Managing Director, Sudhir Gopi Holdings, said that the group is also planning to build a chain of service apartments in major pilgrim centres in key locations across South India and is targeting a turnover of Rs 500 crore in three years, from India. Second projectSGDPL’s second project in Kerala would be in Kochi, while the third project would come up in Pathanamthitta district. The company will be coming up with projects in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram. Along with its projects in India, the company is also launching its realty venture called ‘Little India’ in the UAE for the expatriate Indian community. Due to increasing cost of living in the UAE, a major portion of the savings of the Indian families is spent on rentals.
