PM urged to suspend Indo-US agri project

Hyderabad, Sept. 23 About 200 scientists, intellectuals and farmers have asked the Union Government to put on hold the implementation of Indo-US Knowledge Initiative on Agricultural Education, Research, Services and Commercial Linkages (KIA).

In a letter to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, they sought a review of the project with participation from credible agricultural, political and social scientists, farmers’ unions and civil society representatives.
