Financial Tech raising $100 m

Mumbai, Oct. 1

Financial Technologies India Ltd has decided to raise up to $100 million (Rs 400 crore) and a green shoe option of up to $15 million through issue of Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) to overseas investors. The GDR proceeds will be utilised to pursue global merger and acquisition opportunities in addition to organic growth, said a company release. Repeated attempts to contact the company officials proved to be futile. The company’s scrip was down by 2.21 per cent to close at Rs 2,700.15 on the BSE today. —
