Small units upbeat on exports: Survey

New Delhi, Oct. 3 According a CII survey, a majority of 71 per cent respondents in the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector expect a negative impact on their bottom lines, while 29 per cent of respondents expect status quo in regard to rising rupee and the volatility being witnessed in the foreign exchange markets.

In spite of this, the Indian MSME exporter is positive about export prospects for the next six months, as 71 per cent respondents expect an increase in growth of exports for their company in dollar terms, 27 per cent respondents expect their export growth would decline.

Of those who are upbeat about the exports, 26 per cent of the respondents expect the export growth rate to be between 0 per cent and 10 per cent, 20 per cent respondents expect the export growth rate to be between 10 per cent and 20 per cent and 25 per cent of respondents expect export growth rate to be more than 20 per cent.
