Strategy Industry & Economy - Radio/TV Variety - Cinema Tata Sky inks pact with Palador Our Bureau New Delhi, Oct. 11 Palador Pictures, right holders to nearly 1,000 film titles, have tied up with Direct- to-Home service provider Tata Sky to bring world cinema to audiences. The DTH services’ pay-per-view Showcase TM, will offer films from directors like Akira Kurosawa, Jim Jarmusch, Oxide Pang Chun and Danny Pang to name a few. Tata Sky is offering eight movies this Friday onwards, including Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai, for download during the next five weeks, after which it will replace the titles with new ones. “We have worked hard to create a collection of the best-of-the-best movies from across the world and are currently nurturing around 1000 titles in our ever-growing library. And now, the task of taking them to the discerning Indian viewers is made easy with Tata Sky satellite television service,” said Mr Gautam Sikhnis, Founder and MD, Palador Pictures in a statement.
