Bentley sees its market doubling in India

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Oct. 12 Super luxury car maker Bentley Motors said that though the luxury car market was growing in the country, a change in tax structure would certainly boost up sales of such cars here.

“We are selling 30 cars annually. But a change in tax structure for imported cars could be looked at. But even with this tax structure, the market is growing,” said Mr Ian Gorsuch, Regional Director, Bentley, Middle East and Africa.

“Considering the inquiries that we have been getting, we could sell almost 60 cars in India.” In the year, so far the company has sold 20 cars here. But it would not be able to allocate more cars for Indian market from its global production facility with each of its car taking about six months waiting period to be manufactured.

The company introduced its two convertible models Bentley Azure and Continental GTC priced at Rs 3.8 crore and Rs 2.10 crore.
