Events Agri-Biz & Commodities - Poultry States - Andhra Pradesh Hyderabad to host poultry exhibition Our Bureau Hyderabad, Oct. 15 India’s largest poultry exhibition to be jointly organised by the Exhibition Advisory Committee (EAC) and the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA) will be held in the Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. The three-day exhibition scheduled between November 2 and 4 titled ‘Poultry India 2007’, is expected to attract more than 20, 000 visitors, including farmers, scientists, Government Officials, planners, policy makers, students and stake holders from India, SAARC, Gulf and African countries. During the event, the latest of technology, machinery and equipment will be displayed to showcase various aspects of poultry production such as breeding, housing, management, nutrition, packaging, preservation and marketing of eggs and poultry meat products. Growing industryTechnical seminars and farmers’ symposium will also be organised for visitors attending the programme. Mr Anil Dhumal, President, IPEMA said, “The Indian poultry industry is growing at a phenomenal rate of 12-15 per cent every year. It has high quality poultry breeds, balanced feed, most advanced vaccines, medicines and efficient world-class machinery and equipments and skilled manpower, which can match up with any advanced country of the world.” India has a phenomenal pace of integrated poultry operations throughout the country, creating the self employment opportunities and helping uplift the rural economy. Through such exhibitions EAC and IPEMA plan to create a platform and strengthen the Indian poultry industry to find export potential opportunities and development.
